The Future Rewards Those Who Prepare For It

The future rewards those who prepare for it. These words have guided me throughout my career. They are a challenge to human ingenuity, innovation, creativity, and the desire to remain relevant and competitive. The human struggle isn’t easy; throughout history, we have poked, prodded, and peered into the unknown and the little understood, and from that, some have seized opportunities to offer the world something important.

But you don’t have to be the creator of the future; you can also be the one who has embraced the future and becomes the expert on it, or some part of the future that leads to the new product, services, and ideas.  The future rewards those who prepare for it by learning and applying their passion to new skills and breakthroughs.

This is the Age of Intelligence, which causes some to be apprehensive and others to get excited. It’s not AI that is dangerous; it is the users. And here is the main problem: you may not like what this technology represents, but it will be in every part of our lives, from business and medicine to engineering, and yes, even in shopping. There is no pulling back when it comes to AI and the Age of Intelligence. Why? Because global business competitors and geopolitically, AI is being developed by everyone. Sitting back can throw nations and communities into the equivalent of the Dark Ages.

There is a lot to learn, and so much of this continues to evolve even faster. I don’t believe there is a course you can take to prepare you as fast as just diving into it. Dive into it and experiment, learn, practice, push its boundaries as well as your own. Learn what it can and can’t do, and understanding what you want it to do is the beginning of your new future.

The future rewards those who prepare for it.

Perhaps after we’ve prepared for the future, we should jump into it, because the pace of change will be almost unnatural. And waiting for the right moment begs this question. Which right moment are we really waiting for? One that is risk-free, or one that involves taking a leap of faith in yourself. It is also said that the future favours the bold. That means being bold means making choices today, or we find ourselves chasing the future, which is worse.
